Up Top Farm Nature Program is a low ratio (1-6) outdoor program for ages 3-6 in the Cowichan Valley. Each day the children will explore, play and learn in an ever-changing outdoor setting with no time spent indoors. Whether we choose to spend the morning in the forest or on the farm we believe in a play based early education that is child-initiated and child-led.

We encourage experiential learning, initiative, self regulation, observed risk taking, leadership, autonomy, stewardship of the land and water, nurturing relationships with peers and nature. We foster creativity, including creative use of environmental resources. We explore the relationship animals and insects have with plants; the seasonal changes; patterns in nature; caring for plants and animals.

We follow the standards set by Forest School Canada and Child and Nature Alliance of Canada. 

Our program runs Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm.
